Shelley beach had some rough seas

Which were of course great fun.

Waiting for the next wave

Not small.

Hazel and Daniel

It took us an hour by 4x4 to get to this remote beach on the
track - yet it was next door to Shelley beach!
Walking would have been 15 minutes! (But that's not the point)

On to Banksia Camp

About the camp.

The hut was taken, so we set up camp in Bay 5.

Oliver promptly spotted a frog, and nearly trod on a snake.

The 4x4 track down to the beach. Saves carting your stuff down the cliff path.
The beach was fantastic. See a video of the Banksia Camp Beach.

Banksia Camp Beach had a very kid friendly pool here

Daniel played in the sand for ages.

So did Oli!

Plucking up courage...

Because this surf was big!

Luke catches a wave

Luke and Pip did lots of surfing this trip

Waves a bit big but Chelsea and Oli had a go in the shallows too.

Steves turn.

My turn to drive? <incredulous look>

The final stretch to Broke Inlet - about 22km of 4x4 track to get here.

Well worth the distance though.

Some soft sand here to trap the unwary.

Huge seas rolling in.

Luke about to sit in the drivers seat - alone, for the first time I think.

Car still in one piece, time to head back.

Across the dunes...

The tree top walk!
