Liz comes to Australia for Daniels 1st Birthday

Bouncing birthday boy!

Adrianos and Simpsons joined us all for Daniels celebration

Don't you get wax on my cake, Mum.

Mary and Andrew gave Daniel this book, which was a big hit.

Not long after Liz arrived, we jumped on the train to go to Freemantle for the day.

A real highlight was a return to Augusta - here we are at a favourite spot

Just round the corner from the house at Augusta

A couple of miles up the road from the Augusta house - the calcified waterwheel near Leeuwin lighthouse

Walking on past the waterwheel to the beach

We had a lovely picnic on the rocks near Leeuwin lighthouse

Whilst we were in the south west there were cows everywhere, dressed up in various themes.  Some better than others ;-)

On the end of a four wheel drive track we found a delightful beach

This is on the way back from the beach.  Liz is smiling, so it cant be that bad...but look at the wheels!

Caves road - huge trees, just ignore the various carvings in the bark!

Also on Caves road - a cave.  This was in jewel cave which was really world class.  Well worth the visit.

Kids larking about in the big seas at Yallingup...

...which got them soaked.  Here they are rinsing off.

Daniel found plenty to do at Yallingup too.

Beautiful sunset light at Busselton jetty on route back to Perth

And here is the accompanying sunset - brilliant trip.

We spent a great day with Paul Rachel and Abby, and went boating (and waterskiing)

Daniel didn't think much of his lifejacket, but wasn't given much choice!

Skier out!  Might be Jon or Paul.

Pip wanted a go too, but hanging on to Paul whilst he tried to ski didn't work!

The friendly face of the water police ;-)

The remaining pictures are out at the Rose Garden in Kalamunda, but its nearly time for Liz to brave the long haul home.
